In the limited circumstances where self service products supplied by Northgate Public Services need to store information on your local computer we will generally use cookies to do this. Where the self service product does not require logon, then no cookies are required.

 

Where the self service product requires logon, there are two cookies that are essential for the operation of the website.  We set cookies which are essential to the operation of the website for example when the cookie contains information required by the product to stay logged on.

 

Where the self service product requires logon, should you choose to disable the use of cookies in your browser, then the self service product will not work as the product requires access to stored information to enable the user to remain logged on until the user logs out or the until the browser is closed.

This is an unencrypted cookie containing a unique number that identifies the logged on session within the self service product.

 

This cookie is only created where the self service product requires logon.

 

This cookie is created automatically when the user enters valid details into the login screen and selects "login".

 

This cookie is deleted when the user logs off or closes the browser.

 

Essential site cookie to identify the time and date when a user is automatically logged out where there has been no activity on the product.

 

SSRV_IDLE_SESSION

This is an unencrypted cookie containing a 14-digit number denoting the date and time when a user will be automatically logged out where there has been no activity on the product.

 

This cookie is only created where the self service product requires logon.

 

This cookie is created automatically on arrival to a self service product requiring logon.

 

This cookie is deleted when the user logs off or closes the browser.
